The Douglas County Art Guild (DCAG) meets the first Tuesday each month at 6:30 pm at St. Julian’s Episcopal Church, 5400 Stewart Mill Rd., Douglasville, GA. All are welcome to attend.
Members are artists, crafters and friends of the arts. Monthly programs may include demonstrations, workshops, speakers or other educational programs. The DCAG has an exhibit in April & May (even numbered years) at the Cultural Arts Center (CAC) in Douglasville. In addition, members exhibit their artwork at many other venues.
Guild activities include hosting the CAC’s annual National Juried Art Show in September and donating handmade Christmas ornaments to the CAC for them to use as a fund raiser.
The Guild holds an annual Christmas Bazaar for ten days in early December at the CAC’s Wynn Building. Members’ creative skills are used to create handmade items for sale, including textiles, glass, paintings, cards, woodturning, soap, jellies & jams, baked treats, and much more. All proceeds from this sale go directly to the artist.
